More About the Artists
August 7 - JOHN FOGERTY
John Fogerty achieved fame as the lead singer/songwriter and guitarist in Creedence Clearwater Revival and has since gone on to a chart-topping solo career. The Grammy winner has written some of the most iconic, authentic tunes in America’s songbook; from “Proud Mary” to “Bad Moon Rising,” “Travelin’ Band,” to “Centerfield,” “Rockin’ All Over the World,” to “Born on
the Bayou,” and “Fortunate Son” to “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” just to name a few. With a healthy new perspective on his past, Fogerty’s renewed musical spirit has soared on the critically acclaimed 2007 release Revival (Fantasy Records) which resonates deeply with generations of music fans. Entertainment Weekly said "his soul-scarred voice and knack for killer licks remain as potent as ever," while Rolling Stone declared Fogerty is “playing with more passion and joy that he has in decades.”
August 19 - BOB DYLAN
Bob Dylan is one of the world's most popular and acclaimed songwriters, musicians and performers, having sold more than 90 million albums and performed literally thousands of shows around the world in a career spanning five decades. His recent studio albums, Modern Times (2006), Love & Theft (2001) Time Out Of Mind (1997) are among his most commercially successful and critically lauded and his memoirs, Dylan's Chronicles – Volume I was a New York Times bestseller. Current projects include the Bob Dylan-hosted Theme Time Radio Hour on XM Radio; the long-awaited release of Live At Newport 1963-1965 on DVD and the film and soundtrack, I'm Not There. Bob Dylan remains one of the world's top touring artists, performing more than 100 concerts yearly around the globe.
