This effort was a labor of love. The renovation was led by Richard Sands, Constellation Brands, Inc. in collaboration with the college, county and community leaders. The facility was renamed the Constellation Brands – Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) after Constellation’s founder, Marvin Sands, whose love of the arts led him to establish the original amphitheatre in 1983. Key facts about the renovation include: Cost $13 million Seating 15,000 with 10,000 on the lawn and 5,000 under the amphitheater. Upgrades • Expanded seating under the amphitheaters • 54 box seats • Improved video and sound system • Expanded stage • Enlarged concession area and dressing rooms.
